FRIDAY NIGHT START TO KICK OFF CYMRU NORTH

We welcome BUCKLEY TOWN to Holyhead Road tomorrow, Friday 28th June to kick off the Cymru North season. Kick off is 6.45pm

This seasons Cymru North looks stronger than ever with both Flint Town & Airbus being relegated from Welsh Premier and the 3 teams being promoted , Caersws, Denbigh Town & Bangor 1876 all having strong squads.

Buckley come to Chirk after a great derby win in last weeks Nathaniel Cup over neighbours Mold Alex with keeper Ryan Goldston the hero of the day with a last minute penalty save.

Buckley have strengthened in the summer with Josh Dunroe, Callum Humphries, Nathan Koehler & Adam Smith all joining the Bucks in the pre season.

The club appointed Jason Aldcroft as their new manager in April after previous manager Dan Moore stood down for another role within the club.

Last weeks win was an indication that Buckley are again going to be a force to be reckoned with in a tough Cymru North which looks even stronger than last season with new teams Denbigh Town, Bangor 1876, Caersws, Flint & Airbus all looking like they have strong squads for the coming season.

Its back to back league games for Chirk & Buckley with our last game of the season in April between the sides ending in a 2-2 draw which secured our Cymru North safety. We are pleased with our summer signings and  pre season in readiness for another tough season. Our new management team and players are relishing the challenge ahead and we hope we can get some more support over the season to shout us on!

We suffered a home defeat last week also in the Nathaniel Cup against promoted Denbigh Town. It was quite an even game which could of gone either way. There was encouraging debuts for Oli Farebrother, Iwan Hardy, Dan Burnett & Josh Evans.

Season tickets are still available at £60 & £40 to cover ALL club games for the whole season.

Many thanks must go our General Manager Mark Holmes and his helpers for the terrific job they've done on the ground in the summer. I think you'll all agree it looks great at the moment and all the hours Mark has put in is certainly paying dividends.

Our refreshment bar is open serving hot & cold drinks as well as the best burgers in Town! Also available are club history books at a knock down price of £5.00, new design club scarfs @ £10, champions mugs @ £7Pin badges @ £3.00 & key rings @ £2.00. Programmes on sale on admission.
