Chirk drawn away to Penrhyncoch in first round of JD Welsh Cup

Chirk have been drawn away to Ardal North East team Penrhyncoch in the 1st round of the JD Welsh Cup with the game set to be played on the weekend of Saturday 16th September.

The Roosters were releagted from Cymru North last season but have recruited well in the summer with several former Aberystwyth players joining the club. It will be a reunion for our goalkeeper Oli Farebrother who played at Penrhyncoch last season before joining The Colliers in the summer.

Both games against Penrhyncoch last season were drawn with a 1-1 draw in August at Penrhyn and a 0-0 stalemate at Chirk at the end of the season with Oli in outstanding form that day!!
