Chirk maintain 100% League record with comfortable win over Welshpool

Lock Stock Ardal North East League

CHIRK AAA 4 WELSHPOOL TOWN 0

Chirk maintained their 100% league record with a comfortable 4-0 win over Welshpool. Chirk dominated from start to finish and were well worth their 4-0 win over a Welshpool side that have had a poor start to their Ardal North League campaign. Chirk missed some good chances early on before leading scorer Matty Thomas settled their nerves with a 24th minute opener. Midfielder Ryan Davies increased The Colliers lead on 34 minutes with his first of the season.                                                                                    Jake Simms got Chirks third on 56 minutes and substitute Tom Faithfull wrapped up the scoring in the closing minutes.                                                                                          A comfortable afternoon for Chirk which fires them back to the top over overnight leaders Llanfair United who had beaten another fancied team on Saturday Caersws.                          Man of the match with another outstanding performance was defender Jake Ellison.

Chirk have a quick turn round when we entertain New Brighton Villa on Tuesday evening in The North East Wales Challenge Cup with a 6.15pm kick off.

Next Saturday our First Team have no fixture with our Reserves travelling to Rhos Aelwyd.
