Chirk through to next round of NEWFA Cup

NEWFA Challenge Cup - Rnd 1
Llay Welfare 0 Chirk AAA 2

A comfortable win for Chirk against Ardal North West side Llay.
Two goals for inform striker Dale Davies put The Colliers through to the next round.
There was quite a few changes in the line up tonight with Tom Roberts, Tom Faithfull, Will Evans, Nath Lavender, Jake Ellison, Dale Davies & Alistair Gibson all coming into the starting eleven.
Davies put Chirk ahead on 20 minutes and was a threat all night to the Llay defence.
Llays Johnny Taylor was sent off for violent conduct on 65 minutes before Davies wrapped up the win with a 75th minute penalty.
Llays manager Mike Gadie was shown yellow on 85 minutes before defender Kevin Hope was also shown red for making a brilliant "save" to deny a Jake Ellison header. From the resulting spot kick Davies failed to complete his hat trick when his second spot kick was brilliantly saved by Flower in the Llay goal.
