COLIN HEYWARD STEPS DOWN AFTER ILLNESS

After a recent illness, Colin Heyward has reluctantly decided to step down from his position as Chairman & Committee member of Chirk AAA FC.
Colin commented: "I consider my time spent at our club extremely rewarding and productive.
However, I must hand in my resignation to focus on my health and family.
I am saddened as I will very much miss being part of the team and company in the years to come.
I sincerely appreciate the great experiences and opportunities given to me whilst being at a club that will always remain close to my heart. I have loved being part of our team. I hope to attend as many games as I possibly can and will assist in any capacity when I'm in attendance.
It's been a very hard decision, it was my intention to call it a day at the end of this season on a high, but feel with things as they are we now, the club have time to recruit if necessary in the coming weeks."
The club are extremely saddened that Colin has made this decision as he has been an integral part of our club for the last 9 years. However we appreciate that health & family must come first and wish him well. We thank Colin for his sterling service and hope to see him regularly at Holyhead Road on a Saturday afternoon and of course at Sunday Club the following day!
In recognition of Colin's unparalleled efforts at our club, the committee have decided to offer Colin the prestigious role of Honorary President, a position that he has gratefully accepted.
