Edwards joins on loan deal from WPL Champions TNS

Chirk have signed young TNS professional striker Rhys Edwards in a loan deal that runs until the end of January.

Edwards is highly regarded at TNS and they want him to taste football at Tier 2 level after impressing in both Youth Development & Reserve Leagues in the last couple of seasons.

He signed a 12 month professional contract in July and is considered a good prospect at the club. His exposure at Chirk will give him added experience and obviously give TNS the chance of assessing his progression at Tier 2 level which is something they do with a lot of their young professionals.

Rhys made his Chirk debut in the 0-0 draw against Gresford in Cymru North last Friday.
