FAW AWARD CHIRK AAA WITH TIER 2 LICENCE

Following yesterday's decision by FAW to award us with Tier 2 Licence, we look forward to be formally invited into Tier 2 of Welsh Football, Cymru North.

This achievement is amazing for our club and we thank all those involved from management, players, officials, helpers and supporters. Special thanks also go to all our sponsors for their continued support

Cymru North is indeed a big step up and we all look forward to the challenges ahead. It will give the football fans of Chirk & the surrounding areas chance to see a very good standard of football and the opportunity to watch some of Wales top clubs.

Amongst these teams will be our old adversaries Cefn Druids who have just been relegated from Cymru Premier, Colwyn Bay whose average home attendance exceeds 600, Llandudno who have spent many years in Wales top flight, Gresford, Mold, Buckley, Holywell & Ruthin who we well remember from our Welsh National League days. Furthest South will be Llanidloes and furthest North will he Holyhead.

Bring on the season now
