NEW STAND FOR CHIRK

The club are delighted to announce that we have received partial grant aid from Welsh Ground Improvements (FAW) towards a 160 seater Grandstand which is required on our ground to bring the seating capacity to a minimum of 250 in order to maintain our Tier 2 status in Welsh Football.

We are obviously delighted with the grant and thank FAW for their assistance,

We are also delighted to announce that we have received a donation from Kronospan to sponsor the new stand which solidifies our partnership with the local company. We thank Kronospan for their continued support of our club.

The work on the Grandstand will commence imminently with the majority of the work being undertaken by local contractors Richard “Titch” Roberts & Darren Williams (Williams Welding & Fabrications Ltd). The stand will be positioned centrally behind the goal at Kronospan end which has been formally agreed by General Committee of Chirk AAA. We would like to thank them for their approval.

It is hoped that the Grandstand will be completed by year end. Our General Manager, Mark Holmes will be Project Manager until completion.
