Ralf Little, The Welsh Cup & Chirk

On 30th June, BBC1's popular programme  "Who do you think you are" featured TV Star Ralf Little. Part of the storyline was Ralf's connection to Chirk and in particular his connection to Chirk Football Club.
His Great Grandfather, Albert Lockley, was a Welsh International who played for Chirk  at the end of the nineteenth century and into the early part of the twentieth century. He won the Welsh Cup with Chirk in 1894 scoring one of the goals in a 2-0 win over Westminster Rovers. Also playing that day for Chirk was the legendary Billy Meredith who later went on to become one of Wales best ever players featuring for both Manchester clubs, United & City. Incidentally, Billy was Alberts best man at his wedding!
