PENPARCAU 1
CHIRK AAA 3
Chirk weathered the heavy rain & the blustery conditions in Aberystwyth to come away with a valuable 3 points and make it 8 wins out of 8 in their opening league games.
Dale Davies put The Colliers ahead after just nine minutes as Chirk dominated the opening exchanges.
Against the run of play on the half hour mark Penparcau equalised when an unmarked Andy Gittins headed home at the far post.
Chirk were dealt a big blow on 40 minutes when Jack Edwards was shown red for violent conduct, a decision which was fiercely contested by the Chirk management team.
Chirk started the second period with great intent and defender Matty Williams put them ahead with a fierce free kick from 30 yards with only 3 minutes played in the second period.
Adam Williams added Chirks third goal on the hour making a great run into the box before tapping in from close range.
Penparcau tried in vain to get back into the game but Chirk held firm and ran out comfortable winners.
