PENRHYNCOCH 1 CHIRK AAA 1
Chirk got their first away point in Cymru North but it felt like a loss after The Colliers had dominated the second half and should have been returning home with all 3 points.
Penrhyncoch took the lead on 21 minutes with their first real attack when striker Taylor Watts took advantage of some slack Chirk defence to fire past Mark Richards in the away goal.
Chirk should have equalised right on half time when Steff Rogers shot wide from a good position.
The second half saw Chirk dominate and on the hour they were awarded a penalty after a blatant hand ball. Unfortunately for Chirk, Jack Orbell penalty was saved by home keeper Lewis James.
3 minutes later Chirk were awarded another penalty when Lewis Clamp was fouled in the area and this time Louie Middlehurst blasted the ball straight down the middle to put Chirk level.
Minutes later Coch midfielder Steff Gittins was shown a straight red after a 2 footed lunge at Ryan Davies. However Chirk failed to take advantage of the numerical supremacy and the home side clung on to take a share of the spoils.
Chirk are soon back in action when we entertain Porthmadog on Bank Holiday Monday with a 2.30pm kick off.
